Tremeirchion has a long history with evidence of settlement going back to the Palaeozoic times. The caves of Beuno and Cae Gwyn are also to be found locally. The medieval church is said to have been the first church in Wales to celebrate a harvest festival. Reference The Encyclopaedia of Wales
