Summary Description

Seven Sisters, in the Dulais Valley, gets its name from the fact that in 1875 David Bevan sank a coal mine named after his seven daughters. In 1902 a hoard of first century Celtic and Roman metal work was found and there are the remains of a tramroad laid in 1834 – a hybrid line between a horse tram road and a locomotive hauled railway.
